Save the bodies of waters
by Vaani and Aarini
I speak for the Earth's sea and sea animals that are close to dying . Humans waste about 9.5 metric tons of trash every day, which is bad for the Earth. (A metric ton is about 2204.62 pounds converted). Imagine all that plastic waste washed on to the shores of beachs.
Many of the sea animals call the ocean home. But we are throwing millions and billions of pieces of plastic in their home. then sea animals eat it and die. some sea turtles get strangled in plastic bags and they can also die. Also plastic bags can carry tiny chemicals like pathogen and falls on coral. if it blocks the sunlight, the coral can start to grow a disease growing bacteria. the plastic can also wound the coral which affects many schools of fish that use the reefs of corals as their home. the coral can die from plastic. When Some mammals are having babies, their babies can’t survive because of the polluted water.
Some ways to help the Earth are picking up trash and putting in a trash can. YOu could also recycle things you don’t need anymore. Other ways to help the earth is to sign up for fundraisers such as Team seas & Trash Free Water. More ways to help the earth’s oceans and bodies of water is to start using reusable items. instead of risking using plastic items we could use reusable water bottles or other reusable things. these are some of the ways to stop plastic pollution.
